If you fly to South Africa to go mountain biking, you want to be 100% sure that you combine the most beautiful trails every day. Well, we give you that guarantee. You gonna Ride with the Locals!
  • All trail days are scalable in terms of kilometers and elevation meters.
  • On average, we spend 4 hours a day on our bikes.
  • From six participants we guide with two guides and from nine participants with three guides. This gives us the opportunity to ride the route a little differently with part of the group for more kilometers or technical challenges.
  • No program is written in stone.
  • Depending on the group and the weather, the guides will decide which trails to ride.

    Monday Six Wine Estates | Rolling landscape | winelands | fast flow trails and small climbs | in the evening to Cape Winelands
    Tuesday Jonkershoek Trails | Firehut | Irish Climb | Armageddon | in the evening to Stellenbosch Fat Butcher or Volkskombuis
    Wednesday Boschendal Plaisir | a beautiful day through rugged landscape | beautiful traverse | spicy | in the evening Bobotie @ YEBO
    Thursday Visit Cape Town or Khayelitsha township cycle tour | Evening ride on Lourensford from 4pm | Burgers and Beer with the local Riders
    Friday Elgin Trails: until 3pm followed by a late lunch at www.IDIOM.co.za
    Saturday Helderberg Trails: the last Ride | tough and adventurous | one hour of climbing and then let go of the brakes | fast flow trails | from 12:00 gather in the boma for evaluation and farewell to team YEBO and the guides | followed by lunch at the Vergelegen estate | 5:00 pm check-out

    My name is André and under the name 'MTB Challenge' I create mountain bike content.
    In Nederland heb ik mezelf de uitdaging gegeven om alle officiële mountainbikeroutes te rijden en te filmen. Daarnaast ben ik regelmatig in het buitenland te vinden om te ontdekken wat voor mooie plekken er zijn om te mountainbiken en dit deel ik via mijn social media.

    The main question in the videos is: 'Why would you go all the way to South Africa to go mountain biking?'

    And although I recommend you to watch the videos for an impression, I can already tell you that it is more than a mountain bike trip. You are really in another world, where it smells different, where the colors are brighter and the vegetation more diverse. In addition, there is also sufficient attention for culture and culinary highlights.

    And the mountain biking… Every day is different and the variety of trails is great, from cross-country to rough enduro trails! The total package is great and you just have to experience it once!     Staggered payment

    We offer the possibility to choose an installment payment. The first term is a deposit of € 500 (directly at the time of booking). The second installment is the remaining payment 2 months before the start of the event you have booked.

    Yes it is possible! With your MTB Club, group of friends, company or bike store you can put together your own edition of the South Africa MTB Experience. Request an online introduction with us and we will explain all the possibilities.

    Event types

    If you scroll through the events you will read whether it is private, exclusive or open. An Open Event can be booked by anyone. Exclusive Events are booked if you are invited by an MTB Club, a company or bike store.
